BondView was designed by long-time individual muni bond investors who needed something more: a simple but powerful way to create, monitor and evaluate their muni bond portfolios.
We realised that most bond investors grapple with challenges such as:
- Monitoring for negative material events
- Uneven and limited access to bonds for sale
- Limited pricing transparency
- Inconsistent or stale ratings information
- Complex bond concepts
These issues become even more pronounced for investors with municipal bonds spread across multiple brokerage accounts.

Robert Kane
CEO
A 25-year financial technology veteran, Robert has worked at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Citibank. He founded Intrusion Detection Inc. and served as an Executive Vice President at RSA Security. A leading advocate for municipal bond transparency, Robert is a founding member of New York Angels.
Gus Spathis
CTO
Internet pioneer Gus has over 20 years of experience in technology, business, and marketing. He has created award-winning solutions for companies like Excite, iVillage, and The New York Times. Gus was also CTO of E-Commerce Solutions and Partsearch Technologies.
Saul Tessler
CMO
Saul, a global technology and marketing executive, has 25 years of experience across sectors including finance, investment, and business analytics. He has held leadership roles at Learnlight, OppenheimerFunds, and Barcelona Technology School, where he taught Digital Transformation Leadership.
Jeff Leventhal
Advisory Board
Jeff is the CEO & Founder of WorkRails and Venture Partner at BoldStart Ventures. Previously, he was CEO and Founder of Work Market, OnForce.com, and Spinback. With extensive entrepreneurial experience, Jeff has held various executive and advisory roles in tech companies.
J. R. Rieger
Advisory Board
A 37-year bond market veteran, J.R. is the owner of Rieger Report LLC. Previously, he was the Managing Director and Global Head of Fixed Income Indices at S&P Dow Jones Indices. J.R. is a member of various financial organizations and holds degrees from Widener and Adelphi University.
Irv Chasen
Advisory Board
Irv, a 35-year veteran-management consultant, has provided business strategy and key employee recruiting services. He has worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Grant Thornton, and IBM. Irv has managed company acquisitions and served on corporate boards.
Jamie Proctor
Business Development
Jamie has 20 years of experience in technology and finance. Co-founder and COO of Sweigh Inc, he also spent over 10 years at JPMorgan as a Managing Director. His earlier career was dedicated to sales and business development roles at Salomon Brothers and Bank of New York.
Elana Kane
Intern
Elana Kane recently served as a summer intern at BondView, where she conducted innovative research on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the municipal bond market. Her focus was on identifying distressed municipal bonds backed by real estate assets, particularly those trading at depressed prices, and exploring how real estate hedge funds can leverage AI for this purpose. Her work highlighted the importance of AI in transforming traditional investment strategies, offering speed and risk mitigation benefits. Elana earned her New York State real estate sale license at just 17 years old.
